
Instituto Volusiano de Artes
The Institute Volusian is an art space in the city of Sao Paulo, an initiative of artists and researchers Rogério Borovik and Samira Br, who have experience in visual arts and performance. The idea is to create a space of continuous exchange between the resident artist and other artists and researchers who will take part of activities in the institute.
- Multipurpose room (35 m², equiped with two multimedia projector and sound) that can be used for rehearsals (dance, theatre and performance), filming, meetings, workshops and exhibitions.
- Studio (13 m²) for editing, graffiti, videoart, etc, equiped with video devices.
There are two different sleeping rooms. The bigger one has private bathroom with bathtub. Kitchen, livingroom, laundry area and spacious backyard are for common use with other artists and students of the Institute.
Institute Volusian is opening applications for visual artists and performers who want to develop an artistic residence in the city of São Paulo, Brazil. There is also the possibility of an exhibition in the space, according to the needs of the project, and encounters with other artists. Access to special facilities can be provided depending on the chosen technique.
The headquarters is located in a big house, in a residential neighbourhood, close to a lot of Ateliers. The residency is 700 m from the subway station Vila Madalena in São Paulo.
