Description

IAAB (International Artists Exchange Program) is an exchange program for artists and curators. Artists and curators from the Basel region are given the opportunity to spend a number of months working abroad (Bejing, Buenos Aires, Cape Town/Johannesburg, Fremantle, Montréal, New Delhi, New York, Rotterdam and Tokio).

In exchange, artists and curators from abroad come to one of the 7 IAAB studios in the Basel region, where they are given free accomodation and working facilities, and where the IAAB takes care of them. The IAAB contributes to the living costs of the exchange artists selected from the Basel region. Similarly, the IAAB's partner organisations abroad give their artists financial assistance (for cost of living, traveling expenses and insurance) during their stay in the Basel region.
