Caetani Cultural Centre

Caetani Cultural Centre

The Caetani Cultural Centre ‘Artist-in-Residence Program’ (C3 AiR) provides studio space and short to long-term accommodation for local and international artists and writers. The Caetani Cultural Centre offers artists and writers private spaces in a nurturing atmosphere for self-directed residencies, providing time, support and room for creativity.

C3 currently provides 3 accommodation suites for short-term residencies, paired with artist studios on-site, a shared artist workspace and seasonal programming onsite, offering a unique setting for artists to explore and express the creative process in the community. As well, the Centre works with outside organizations to provide access to off-site studio spaces.

The aims of C3 are to support and attract artists to the community through providing quality arts facilities, that allow artists to experiment, develop new ideas and interact with fellow artists and the community through talks, workshops and exhibitions. The programs are intended to promote professional development for the artist while giving the community access to a diverse range of arts practices, theories and experiences.

The Caetani Cultural Centre will facilitate workshops, receptions, and public programming based around the participating artist’s work. Artists-in-Residence are requested to leave a piece of art in the community, if possible.
