Bordeneuve is a rustic stone barn nestled in the foothills of the French Pyrenees. An ecologically renovated studio of 95 m² is available to an artist for a 2 week - 2 month stay. Residencies can be fully catered or self-catering, with products grown in Bordeneuve's garden. Expositions/recitals/lectures can be arranged on a case by case basis and are very encouraged.

Outcome

An exhibition, a reading or a concert for a small, informal audience can be organized if the artist wishes it.

Studio Information

The studio is combined/living and working space. Please see the website for more detailed information.

Please note that the studio is not suitable for painting (this can only be done outdoors).

Technical Information

Upright Yamaha piano (LU-201C), architects drawing tables, easels and two covered outdoor working spaces (can be used for painting/sculpture/carving etc) with beautiful light. There is a workshop that has a large selection of hand and power tools that can be used by the resident. There is a communal room and kitchen (40m²) with Wifi and a small library as well as a large garden.

Location

Located at the foothill of the Pyrenees, at the conflunce of Basque, Catalan, Occitane and Gascon cultures. The barn is in a secluded and peaceful spot, far from the noise of everyday life. The nearest village is 3km away and the nearest town is 9km away.
