Tilt: writers in residence at Tilburg University

Tilt and Tilburg University are joining forces to build a bridge between literature and scientific research with a new writer in residence program.

Over the past six years, the writer in residence program by Tilt has ensured that leading writers from the Netherlands and Flanders wrote a literary reflection on Tilburg in the form of a booklet. Authors Ilja Leonard Pfeiffer, Maartje Wortel, Yves Petry, Lieke Marsman and Fikry El Azzouzi wrote about the city in various ways.

The residence will be expanded this year with a research lab at the Department of Cultural Sciences at Tilburg University. In the lab the writer in residence works with master's students on a socially relevant question instigated by the author. The first guest is writer and musician Aafke Romeijn. The results of her residence will be presented at Tilt Festival in Tilurg, March 14, 2020.
