Join our office in Amsterdam - we are looking for an intern!

As of 1st March we are looking for an intern that can join and support the team Mobility and Advice at DutchCulture for 0,6 fte. DutchCulture is the network and knowledge organisation for international cultural cooperation., based in Amsterdam. DutchCulture wants to help all those who work in the artistic and cultural field - from individual artists to renowned organisations - who harbour international ambitions. We realise, stimulate and support collaboration between artists and art institutions worldwide - sometimes with organisations, diplomatic posts and governments, sometimes with artists themselves, with individual advice and tailored guidance.

The department Mobility and Advice consists of Creative Europe Desk, Mobility Info Point and TransArtists. We are especially looking for someone who has interest in artist-in-residence programmes and the mobility of artists and cultural workers; someone who is interested to work on supporting the international cultural exchange and collaboration, and who is passionate about data collection, organisation and visualisation. The TransArtists website has the biggest database in the world with 1516 artists’ residencies. Apart of collecting data, we aim to make the enormous worldwide residential art labyrinth accessible and usable to artists through our website, workshops, newsletters, research and projects. Additionally, the Mobility Info Point at DutchCulture gives information and advice - among others- on funding opportunities for international projects, visas and residency permits, social security and taxation. Every year we publish/update a funding guide to NL - giving a complete overview of the funding possibilities.

We are currently looking for someone who can join the team for 6 months, starting 1st March. You will be collecting and analysing data, updating the database on the TransArtists website and think together with the team, about content for the website. You will be working in a small international team, where among others, you can learn about the international field of artist in residencies, in-depth insight in the international cultural field through organising and participating in workshops and / or giving personal advice etc. We are also open for your own input and / or research related to culture and international mobility. During the internship you will closely work with the team, and be guided by Bojana Panevska, the program manager of TransArtists.
