Artist-in-residence De Overslag in Eindhoven composed a publication about the exchange project with YYZ, Toronto, Canada. In 2008 five Dutch and five Canadian artists worked together in Toronto and in Eindhoven. The second publication is a visual report about the projects that took place at De Overslag during the last two years.

'Workplaces' in Flanders

In Flanders, international guest studios and artist-in-residence programs are also known as 'werkplaatsen', 'workplaces'. The Flemish art magazine Etcetera has produced a sketch of the landscape: How many are there now? And what do they do exactly? The category 'workplaces', launched in the Belgium so-called New Arts Decree, is a flexible term which covers a multitude of art centers.
