Ladomyria provides accommodation in the hotel free of charge, a space for creative work, and cover the cost of breakfasts. In addition, a canvas for painting (120x100 cm) is granted to the artist.
Travel, insurance, materials, food allowance (except breakfasts) are covered by the artist.
Artists must fill in the application form and send it along with required attachments to the given e-mail address. Eligibility criteria include artist’s experience in projects realization, motivation, project plan that will be implemented during the stay at the residence. The residence is open from April to October (certain changes are possible due to the Covid-19 pandemic). There is no application fee.
The main direction of the program is the historical reconstruction of various epochs and landscape painting. Acquaintance with the history and culture of the Greater Volyn region (introductory tours to museums and castles located around the residence). Ability to create works representing certain historical periods or their elements (not necessarily related to the Greater Volyn region). Opportunity to study the ancient craft of weaving. Acquaintance with the collection of ancient clothes of the Greater Volyn region.

Artists stay in a hotel in the city center which is within walking distance from the residence (about 7 minutes). Up to 12 rooms in the hotel can be provided, thus maximum 12 artists can be hosted at once. Housing on the territory of the residence is currently under reconstruction. Availability to host groups depends on the size of the group. Partners and family of the artist are welcome, but they bear these costs on their own.
Ladomyria offers residents a wide hall for creative work, built with a perfect eastern daylight orientation. The hall is modern, bright, with an area of 212 square meters. The area of additional rooms (foyer, wardrobe and toilets) is 32 square meters, while the area of the main room is 180 square meters.
There is a hand weaving workshop on the territory of the residence where five craftswomen work. This will allow the artists to learn the basics of hand weaving (upon prior request). Recordings of scholarly lectures on the features of traditional Ukrainian clothing (in Ukrainian) are also available for artists' use. Laptops, a printer and Wi-Fi connection are provided to all residents. Moreover, Ladomyria organizes introductory tours to museums and castles located around the residence, peep-to-peer talks, and technical advice. Should the artist need some extra materials, we are ready to discuss their provision individually.
Radyvyliv is a small town in Western Ukraine surrounded by woods, lakes and rivers.
