The residency programs provide

  • monthly support for the resident
  • fee for the host organization
  • budget reserved for the realization of the project.

The amounts vary depending on the discipline-specific calls, which could be retrieved via Viseguard's website.

Application guidelines:

Calls for applications for each residency program are launched annually. Each call has an opening and closing date and outside of this period it is not possible to apply for support. Please note that deadlines vary according to different mobility program.

Applicants for mobility programs are evaluated on the grounds of their academic or artistic merit, originality and the relevance of the selected host institution. Specific criteria apply for each of the mobility programs.

Visegard provides various mobility opportunities consisting of exchanges, scholarships and residencies. The organization runs three different residency programs in

  • visual and sound arts
  • performing arts
  • literature and journalism.

Calls for each discipline are featured under the mobility division of their website.

Accommodation Information

Provided by host organization (mandatory and in the contract). Partners & family might be eligible, but it depends on the host organization (Visegrad Fund does not financially support partners and family of artists).

Location

The Residency must take place in a Visegrad country other than the applicant's citizenship and residence.
