Villa Gress
The house was previously the home of the famous Danish writer, Elsa Gress and her husband, the American painter, Clifford Wright. Here they created the artists colony 'Decenter' for artists and intellectuals, which became a milestone in Danish art and culture history during the 70's and 80's. Today the house is a residence for writers and other creative people, who need to concentrate on a project. Individuals and small groups (4 persons) are welcome at Villa Gress.
The guests are a.o. writers, journalists, scientists, designers, scriptwriters, photographers, painters etc. There is no outcome mandatory and no fixed schedule.
You will get your own room (16-25m2), and can use the premises of the whole house (300m2). It is equipped with:
- spacious well-equipped kitchen (dishwasher available)
- cosy living-room with fireplace
- bright dining-room with wonderful view to the park
- terraces with view to the park and garden
- two bathrooms with showers
- washingmachine and dryer is available.
- woods and beautiful surroundings for inspiration and relaxation
The residence is situated very tranquil at a 'secret' hideout in the park of Marienborg Manor on the beautiful island of Møn (Moen), only 1,5 hours drive from Copenhagen. The island is connected to the mainland af Zealand with two bridges. The island of Møn is very famous for the many artistic inhabitants and lots of craftsshops and galleries.
