The main goal of the Foundation Rodríguez-Amat is to promote knowledge of the artwork of Jordi Rodríguez-Amat. The foundation has been created by the artist and gives the opportunity for participating artists to be trained by Jordi Rodríguez-Amat.
The building can host two artist at the time.
The artist’s studio (190m2) is on the third floor of the building, with east, south and west aspects that enable the artist to work in natural light from early morning to late afternoon. Twenty-three skylights have been opened to gain maximum natural light.
The artist will work in the same studio that Jordi Rodríguez-Amat is working. There they will share opinions on art concepts and techinques.
The Rodríguez-Amat Centre for Contemporary Art is situated in a small village called Les Olives in the Northeast of Catalonia in the Northeast of Spain.
The Centre is sittuated in Les Olives (Garrigoles), a beautiful village 12 km away from the sea, in the Costa Brava area. The village is in the North of Catalonia, 120 km away from Barcelona and 25 km away from Girona and from Figueres. The town is easily reached by private car, or train, which is 7 km away from the village.
