The Carriage House
In 1993, the Islip Art Museum opened the Carriage House as a project space where contemporary artists can create and exhibit new and experimental work. Since its first season, the Carriage House has steadily expanded its programming and services to become a major cultural resource in the greater New York region. The Islip Art Museum offers a variety of exhibitions and studio programs at the Carriage House, including Projects, an exhibition of installations by emerging artists who are selected from an annual call for proposals.
It is strongly advised that you attend an Artist's Open House and visit the Carriage House in person. You can see the Floor Plan for a general layout of the interior and in order to select your gallery preference.
Located next door to the Islip Art Museum galleries in Brookwood Hall, East Islip, New York, approximately 50 miles from Manhattan on the south shore of Long Island.
