A fee of $55 per week Australian dollars is charged. The fee can be waived at the Authority's discretion. Artists are required to pay for all living expenses, travel, consumables and arts materials.

The Sydney Olympic Park artist-in-residence program provides an opportunity for local and international artists to live and work within the community of artists at Newington Armory, a unique heritage-listed site at the Olympic precinct.
The shared studio spaces are designed especially for painting, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics and writing. Other art practices are also welcome.
Every 12 months, an exhibition will be curated comrpising works created by artists working on site.
A fully restored 1897 Federation brick cottage. Three bedrooms, lounge/dining room, well-equipped kitchen, bathroom, office (with phone an Internet) and laundry.
Building 24 is the main visual arts facility with plenty of natural light and 17 studios available to hire (5 painting, 6 sculpture, 2 printmaking and 4 ceramics). The venue is well-equipped with work benches, seating, studio lighting, ventilation and exhaust, clean up areas, easels, shelving and specialised equipment including a kiln, aquatint cupboard and chemical workroom.
Building 50 (woodwork) and Building 233 (metalwork) are equipped with a range of manual and power tools including saws, drills, grinders, sanders and MIG and oxyacetylene welding equipment.
Building 126 is a cottage that offers opportunities for artist interaction plus a space for ‘desk work’. It has a common room, kitchen facilities and office with internet connection and telephone.
Building 122 is a 4 bedroom residential cottage for the artist in residence program.
The Armory precinct, while only 13 kms from centre of Sydney, has a tranquil rural quality – it is bordered to the east by the Newington Nature Reserve, a woodland and wetland area of high ecological value and to the north by the Parramatta River. About 30 minutes by car from Sydney International Airport.
