A bicycle is provided to each resident as well as a local SIM Card for their mobile phone and initial credit of THB100.
Sam Rit Residency strives to be an accessible program for all those who are interested. The Program fees for residencies cover basic costs of living and residents can also choose added facilities and services to enhance their stay. Sam Rit currently offers three options of stay depending on the services and facilities required - "Independent residency", "Semi-Supported Residency" and a "Fully Supported Residency". Artists must cover their return airfare, travel & medical insurance, living and production expenses.

Sam Rit Residency is working as new model of cultural residency in rural North Eastern Thailand open to creative artists of all mediums, arts managers and arts workers, academics, researchers and students. With options for short and long stays as well as partners and children, Sam Rit Residency program provides an opportunity for those with a creative and cultural interest to experience an authentic rural Thai farming village in the province of Nakhon Ratchasima. Completely self-contained with a support system in place, this is an opportunity to be immersed in traditional Thai culture and connect with a community for inspiration, contemplation and creation in your field.
Sam Rit Residency does not require a set outcome of work from the duration of residency. They only wish to encourage residents to experience village life and make a conscious effort to engage with locals through ceremonies, events and daily life interactions. Residents wishing to have a public outcome of their research or work from their stay are welcome to arrange an event or exhibition with assistance of the program director and coordinator.
Self-contained bed-sitters furnished with a bed, linen, towels, electricity, air-conditioning and running water. Each room has their own bathroom. They have the capacity to cater for up to 5 separate residencies at a time or a total of 7 people. Four rooms have adjoined en suite bathrooms and one with a private bathroom in the Common Room. Four toilets have automatic flushes, and one with manual bucket system. All showers have hot water systems installed.
Access to the Common Room providing storage for food, cooking facilities, kitchen appliances, washing facilities and a social space to connect with other residents. All the basics are provided as part of the fee including toilet paper, washing powder, dish washing liquid, mosquito spray, basic cooking sauces and drinking water.
Access to the shared studio providing working space with desks, office chairs, pedestal fans and desk lamps. A large undercover outdoor area is also available for those wishing to use larger space.
