Fellowships are offered as both need-based and merit-based award packages. Financial Aid and fellowships are awarded after applicant is accepted.

Paid by artist 

18-day residency will cost $630 and a 25-day residency will cost $875. Once accepted residents will receive residency contract and financial aid and fellowship application. Financial aid is available on a very limited basis. Applicants may request to apply for financial aid upon acceptance of a residency.

Description 

Nearly 200 residencies and fellowships are now offered annually. Ragdale encourages applications from artists representing the widest possible range of perspectives and demographics, and to that end, emerging as well as established artists are invited to apply. While there are no publication, exhibition or performance requirements for application, applicants should be working at the professional level in their fields.
Ragdale encourages artists of all backgrounds to apply, and does not discriminate against anyone on the basis of age, disability, gender, origin, race, religion, or sexual orientation.

Accommodation Information 

Private bedroom in a shared housing facility. All writers' bedrooms function as a writing room. Two of the visual art studios have separate sleeping rooms.

Studio Information 

Computer and internet connection provided in common area (shared), Computer and internet connection provided in living or studio area (private), Wireless Internet. Ragdale has a universally accessible studio in the Barnhouse. The Chandler studio, a live/work space with a wheelchair-accessible private bath, accommodates visual artists or writers. The space is adjacent to the kitchen and dining facilities, where communal dinners are served. Kitchen is accessible as well as some shared living spaces. Studios/special equipment: dance / choreography, exhibition / installation, music studio (non-recording), painting, photography (digital).
