Paid by artist 

This cost is $1, 000 ($250/week) including all arrangements of accommodation, meals, airport pick up and transfer to Manila, workshops, entertainment programme, and weekend cultural tours (excluding airfare). The host asks that the guest artists arrive in Delhi on February 13th between 8am to 3pm. After these dates artists must make their own arrangements to the residency (with the offered guidance). Travel costs (inc. visa) are the responsibility of the artist.

Application guidelines 

When applying include the following with the application form:

  • A resume / CV (online or CD).
  • A brief statement, covering your interest, art practice and why you want to join this residency.
  • 5 images or examples of your current practice which represents your artistic ability. If you are a writer it may be difficult to appraise text due to language barriers. However, we encourage you to give us an idea of your style and inspirations.
  • List your choice of four workshops you would like to participate in over the four week period (view the workshop page for more details).

Programme of Exchange in Culture and Art of Himalayas


PECAH is an opportunity to exchange ideas and skills with the traditional art forms of the Himalayas in Uttrakhand, India. PECAH is dedicated to spreading the radical flavour of Uttarakhand’s art forms. Interaction and collaboration with the local artist and inspirational aura is the major priority of PECAH.

PECAH is an opportunity for artists from all over the world to learn new artistic techniques: each day of the week, workshops will be hold to learn Indian ways of practicing visual arts, music, literature and dance. It will also be an occasion to share different visions of arts with artists from all over the world, as PECAH will select about 30 artists from all horizon.

Accommodation Information 

Rooms with bedding will be provided and artists have responsibility to keep the rooms clean on an ongoing basis. Local food will be served according to local culture and three meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) per day are included.

Studio Information 

The studio time will be mainly use to do the workshops; however it is also possible to do some personal projects. Just let the host know what your projects are, so the host can make sure that they can support you and provide you what is needed.


This Exchange Programme is going to be held in “Manila”, in the region of ALMORA, Uttarakhand, India (not to be confused with Almora City). In the district of Almora, there are hill stations full of cultural integrity. The Almora region is full of beautiful natural surroundings, jungle views and ancient trees.
