Parallel Foundation was established in 2010 in order to support, develop and internationally contextualize Hungarian contemporary performing and visual arts. The Foundation ensures professional circumstances for the creative work and contributes to the international presence of Hungarian artists. The main activities of the Foundation within the performing arts focuse on outdoor and site-specific dance projects, dancefilm screenings and distribution; and special events challenging dancers and choreographers. Within the visual arts activities are related to the contemporary concrete, geometric and non-objective art movements. International artist-in-residence program and exhibitions are organised.

Each selected artists are provided a cosy private apartment (single use), in a historical building, downtown Budapest. The apartment has well-equipped kitchen and bathroom. WiFi is available without usage limit.
Studio is not provided. Parallel Foundation helps finding studio space, special tools and materials upon request.
