The 8 to 10 invited artists receive free accommodation, publication fees and a stipend.

The artists who aren't directly invited have to participate to the general costs of the residency and don't receive the stipend.
Provision of studio, in some cases with a view to exhibition or publication; personal research, multidisciplinary exchanges, encounter with the public.
Betzeen January and July the residency is open to invited artists, who receive a fellowship.
Between July and November the residency is open to all artists who want to go there, but without any grant or assured direct outcome.
Exhibition with publication during the summer (July-September) after the residency.
Individual houses, self-catering accommodation or houses made available by local authority.
Les Ateliers are located in a rural environment, in the village of Les Arques (Lot), in the South West of France, near Cahors.
The residency offers the possibility to the artists to work in a rural environment but also to meet with different types of public.
