Description 

La Bande Vidéo is a media arts center devoted to creation and research. It takes part in the development of a contemporary video culture, offers artists production and dissemination tools, and encourages them to build a reflection on their work. The center produces and exhibits mostly experimental single-channel, installations, and animated videos.

Artists chosen for residencies have free access to the center’s production studios and equipment for a two-week to one-month period. La Bande Vidéo provides technical support. A complete array of HD equipment is available: digital cameras, shooting material, accessories, production rooms, and projection equipment.

The center also provides:

  •  Part of the subsistence fees;
  •  In addition, artists living farther than 50 km from the center get free lodging throughout their stay and an allocation covering part of their transportation.
