The Institute for Community Understanding Between Art and The Everyday (InCUBATE) invites any persons of any discipline to do self-directed creative projects. We are looking for people who are interested in the discussion between art and the everyday; who want to do interdisciplinary research and work in tandem with the members of InCUBATE to create research tools and resources that will be available for public use.

Our 900sq. foot space has two stories, an upper storefront level consists of a 300sq. foot gallery space equipped with a 14' pull down projection screen. The lower level houses a small fabrication studio. Residents will have the opportunity to use the space for the culmination of their projects. InCUBATE's three administrators will be available to provide assistance by helping with project research and the facilitation of project related events. Mac and PC computers are available for use equipped with video editing software, Adobe Creative Suite, SPSS, and other useful programs. Free high-speed internet is also available. Residents will also have access to the Congress Theater for events.
InCUBATE is located adjacent to the historic Congress Theater in the Logan Square neighborhood of Chicago.
