Hadassah-Brandeis Institute
The Hadassah-Brandeis Institute, a research center at Brandeis University, develops fresh ways of thinking about Jews and gender worldwide by producing and promoting scholarly research and artistic projects. The residency programme provides artists the opportunity to be in residence at Brandeis University while working on a significant artistic project in the field of Jewish women's and gender studies, and to produce an exhibit for the Kniznick Gallery at the Women's Studies Research Center (WSRC) at Brandeis University. The exhibit will coincide with or immediately follow the residency and be on view until mid-June 2016. Preference will be given to applicants who create a site-specific exhibit.
You are required to lead both a public lecture/gallery talk and a workshop as part of your residency, and there will be an exhibition organised at the end of the residency period. The exhibit will immediately follow and be on view for a minimum of 8 weeks.
