Dublin City Councils Cultural strategy focuses on the need support artistic practice, encourage cultural inclusion, develop cultural infrastructure, support the cultural economy and ensure that culture plays a central role in urban regeneration and local identity. Priority will be given to proposals that seek to support these strategic goals, as well as to proposals for longer engagements of six to eighteen months in duration. Shorter periods (not less than one month) may be considered on application.

Dublin City Arts Office has 4 x residences on offer for periods of three months to ten months. Shorter periods of occupation may be considered at the discretion of the City Arts Officer subject to demand or as part of an agreed joint program with Dublin City Council.

About Residential Spaces

Spaces are for the furtherance of artistic practice and are designated for this express purpose.

Three of the residential spaces are located in Dublin City Councils Parklands and a two-bed apartment is located in Temple Bar. St Patrick’s Lodge is located within St Patrick’s Park next to St Patrick’s Cathedral and within five minutes walk of Dublin City Centre. Albert Cottages are located in Albert Park/ Hampstead Park, a 15 minute drive from the city centre. Wooden Buildings is located at East Essex Street in Temple Bar.  

Accommodation Information

All properties are fully furnished and include complementary TV and wifi service. The final month of occupation may be reduced by a few days to facilitate change over. The letting arrangement will be with a single individual or entity regardless of the number of persons occupying the property.
