Apply by sending them a written letter in your own words. State the preferred time and length of residency, a plan for residency project(s) and productions during and/or after the stay. Enclose your cv or description of your artistic work, recommendations, if any, and information of your partner organization, if any.
The application can be sent by e-mail or letter to the residence secretary. Information about the residency is provided by the secretary. The application and the attachments are not returned.
Decision on the accepted applicants is taken by the board of the residence once a year, after enclosing of each call for proposals. The accepted guest artist will receive a formal invitation.
Forms of production can be an art work or a performed production. Please note that the program does not automatically include an exhibition for visual artists.
The residence flat is a refurbished old wooden house in the back yard of the Drake home museum, a part of the Kokkola town museum. The flat consists of a bedroom, a kitchenette and a bathroom with shower. The kitchen is equipped with service, fridge and freezer, electric oven, coffeemaker and microwave oven, beds for two and a desk. The resident have access to a bike. The kitchenette is spacious enough to serve as working space depending on the nature of work.
There's no studio available.
The residence is situated in central Kokkola, in the historically inspiring old town district, close to the residence partners, cultural amusement and the surrounding nature. Distance to train and bús station 0,3 km. Distance to airport 20 km (regularly operating airport shuttle to city)
