The City of Greater Geraldton may remunerate resident artists for their community projects.
Artists are encouraged to apply for their own funding from relevant arts foundations and organisations. The City of Greater Geraldton may be able to offer assistance in applying for grant applications should it be required.
Applications will be assessed by City of Greater Geraldton and National Trust staff according to the following selection criteria:

The Central Greenough Artist in Residence Program, presented by the City of Greater Geraldton and National Trust, provides successful applicants the opportunity to work and live in the Central Greenough historical settlement for a period of one day to four weeks.
Artists of all disciplines (including dance, inter-arts, media arts, music, theatre, visual arts, and writing and publishing) from all places are invited to apply.
Artists may (subject to approval) undertake activities throughout the Settlement, and at cultural facilities and schools throughout Greater Geraldton. These facilities include the Queens Park Theatre, Regional Library, and several art galleries and museums.
Accommodation is provided in the Teachers Quarters in the historic Police Station & Lockup Building, constructed in 1870. The building also comprises a court room, gaol cells, exercise yard, post office and police sergeant’s quarters.
The Teachers Quarters is fully self contained with kitchen, laundry, bedroom, lounge room and bathroom. As it is located in rural area there is no television or landline phone in the Quarters; however, mobile phone service is available. Access to a landline and other amenities is available between 9am and 5pm daily at the Greenough Café, which is just a short walk from the Quarters. There is no public transport, but a hire vehicle may be arranged.
Central Greenough, located 23 km south of Geraldton in Western Australia, comprises a varied group of stone buildings in a rural landscape setting. Its twenty buildings reflect stories of religion, commerce, education, social lives, transport, communication, governance and administration.
