Casa Tres Patios
Casa Tres Patios (C3P) is a contemporary art center dedicated to experimentation and investigation of contemporary art and artistic practices. It was legally established as a non-profit foundation in Medellín, Colombia in 2007. C3P believes that contemporary art and contemporary artistic practices have the power to change the way we see, the way we think and the way we interact with the world in which we live. The mission is to facilitate and produce artistic projects and publications based on research, education, and production. The programs involve all fields of contemporary artistic practice: art, art theory, architecture, urban design, design, new media, experimental music. C3P was established in order to provide a space in which experimentation and process takes precedence over production. As a result the focus of the residencies is to provide a space in which the resident artists are encouraged to explore new issues and processes in their practices. By promoting experimental and collaborative artistic projects in the form of artist residencies and exchanges between the best local, national and international contemporary artists, curators, architects, designers, theoreticians and the public they seek to develop projects that can inspire critical thinking and create positive change.
