Accommodation, board, food, individual traveling expenses, studio. The monthly rent is 650 Euro. This includes all bills except for telephone. On signing of the rental contract, one months rent must be paid in advance. This is non-refundable if the studio is cancelled and a replacement tenant is not found in time. A small refundable deposit of 130 Euro must also be paid in case of damage, loss or cleaning costs.

Application guidelines 

The jury of the house decides every December which artists receive the opportunity of the studio. The results are publicly announced on the home page of the Atelierhaus. Applications must be made via the online form. More info here.

Description 

The Atelierhaus Mengerzeile lies directly on the Berlin Wall, between Treptow, Kreuzberg and Neukölln. The Atelierhaus has offered studio space to artists since 1994. Next to 32 permanently rented studio it provides a spacious guest studio in 3 or 6 month periods.

Outcome 

Successful applicants are invited to exhibit their work in the gallery Kunsthalle M3, in the last weeks of their Berlin residency, if times permits.

Studio Information 

The guest studio is approximately 90 m2. It consists of a large studio area and a living space with kitchenette, bathroom and bedroom. The studio has a telephone and an internet connection.

Location 

The Atelierhaus was established in 1993 in a former factory for making pianos. It is situated in the area where the of neighbourhoods of Treptow-Köpenick, Neukölln und Kreuzberg meet.
