Longer stays possible. If participants cannot attend for the term they booked, they do not get refunded but their payment is saved for another term based upon agreement.

Description

The Art See Ocean Gallery is in a place where the forest meets the sea. In this residence the organizers offer artists a retreat, a place in nature and solitude. And the inner journey that naturally takes place when being with yourself in nature.

Outcome

During the residency the organizers will make a short film with the artist about the process of being in the residence.

Studio Information
  • The studio in the big house is 45 square meters and depending on how much space you need there are plenty of rooms in the facilities.
  • Three large studios in a total area of 100 square meters, with a bathroom, resting area and kitchenette.
Accommodation Information

The residence can accommodate six artists.

Technical Information

The residency is located in a nature reserve and if you want to explore the ocean you can rent a sailing boat with skipper or a kayak for paddling.​ In the forest outside the door you can find "Sörmlandsleden", which has Swedens longest hiking trails, with fire places and windbreaks if you want to spend the night. Bring your tent and sleeping bag or the organizers can provide you with outdoor gear for rent.

One hour drive or train ride to Stockholm and forty minute drive to Stockholm Skavsta airport in Nyköping.
