Acme international residencies programme (Acme IRP) is a recognised international residency facilitator, enabling governments, trusts and foundations to offer artists work/live residencies in London since 1987. London residencies have proved to be pivotal to the development of many artists' careers, according to ACME. The programme is part of Acme Artists Studios Ltd. (Acme). Founded in 1972 Acme is a London-based charity which provides affordable studio space, residencies and awards for fine artists in economic need. This residency enables international artists to apply directly for concentrated networking residencies in London. This residency is open to visual artists, curators and art writers for 1-3 months. Residencies can be developed around a particular project or conceived of as networking or contacts focused.
AAR residencies are tailored to suit the networking needs of international artists, allowing them to research, develop relationships and focus on their work in a supported environment. The residency provides individual mentoring for artists and provides a structured framework to facilitate introductions, discussions, presentations and exposure to new networks.
Individuals or artist duos can be hosted.
