AVA's Artreach programme primary aim is to broaden the existing opportunities open to visual artists working in South Africa by encouraging art education, by promoting through exposure, and by advancing cultural production.

Basa Fund founded the 'SupportinGrant' Scheme with funding from the South African Department of Arts and Culture, and aims to encourage and increase business sponsorship of the arts. Pro Helvetia Cape Town is one of the Pro Helvetia representations abroad, set up at the beginning of 1998. Although Pro Helvetia Cape Town has its office in the heart of Cape Town, it is set up with the characteristics of a mobile office to cover the whole of Southern Africa.
