Sarawut Chutiwongpeti (Thailand) at Saksala
August 2005: the application
I will work on art works project entitled "Wishes, Lies and Dreams VII".
I would like invited children, peoples/artists and disabled persons for sharing their Wishes/Dreams in my artwork project. Working in the art center together with some one who can work with young people on a high artistic level will give a extra inspiration to the whole project.
The period I am working depends on the budget but had to be minimal 6 months. Than it is possible to be a part of the local area and share in the exchange culture of the people living in it, so I can learn about and from them, necessary to develop my own vision and my experiences. I will stay in art centre Saksala ArtRadius in Haukivuori to create my artwork project in this part of Finland and use is as a centre point with a historical meaning. During this period different kind of people will visit and stay and can show the way contact influence the world of people living in this area.
The final artwork will be a mix between found objects and DVD-installation that will be a documentary film and fantasy film from Haukivuori and that is a part of the total documentation I am realizing of all kind of places in the world. The documentation is a continuing development of my project in which all parts will influence each other permanent.
The humans spirit in this area (village and surroundings of Haukivuori) shall be a part of a global network by this documentation.
February 2006: after two months artist-in-residence
I really like to travel to find out some thing "new" and gain "experiences". As my traveling is a mean for creating, self discovery and impact on approaches, investigate and my journey it always linked with inspiration and creativity.
When the door of art centre Saksala ArtRadius opens and welcomes me as guest invited artist (First one), I am very delight for coming to Haukivuori in Finland.
There are so many residencies in this world and different kind of environmental. The Saksala ArtRadius center is a new emerging residency artist program in Finland. Both artist and the art center have working hard together.
The Art Center's special one silence place" and it is a place for people who would like away from capital city. I could find my way how to enjoy myself during the coldest winter season by practice the ski and at the same time, I have been shooting the film and record my impression the urban landscape view from Haukivuori, such as the stars, the moon, the sky (The color of the sky during twilight zone quite so wonderful for me) and the snow.
At the Saksala ArtRadius, I am still working on new art works project entitled and I am very interesting to investigate the expressive possibilities of conceptual visual language and to develop collaborative new art as part of both Contemporary Art/Contemporary Global Structure and the Technological Civilization in which we live today.
At the art centre Saksala ArtRadius, I am still working on the new artwork project The Installation series of Untitled (Wishes, Lies and Dreams ,The Hero's & Deathly Dreams ) It is a still working on progress. At the 5 Continent Exhibition I will show some still images from my video art. ( Not yet finished Project, Since this project is just beginning and it is not my final project)
