Trailerpark Summer Academy: mobile interventions in public space
Last week of August Kunstfort at Vijfhuizen organizes the 'Trailer Park Summer Academy'. With mobile art projects as its main theme, the academy offers a five-day hands-on and theoretical program: a week of encounters with artists and other experts in the field of art and public space.

Participants work with both artists and theoreticians together on mobile projects in and around the Kunstfort (Art Fortress), the world renowned 19th century UNESCO heritage, near Schiphol international airport.
- What's the state of affairs of interventions in public space?
- What about the artist's autonomy in public space and how to guard it?
- Do interventions in public space live up to intentions and expectations?
On these questions you will work a full week under guidance of artists who represent different positions in this form of art: Tilmann Meyer-Faje and Roseboom/Weemen, Cascoland, Hermelinde Hergenhahn, Holger Nickisch, Mesterhazy-Pereszlenyi, Lehner en Gunther Architects.
Participating theoreticians are: Jeroen Boomgaard, Eva Fotiadi, Erik Hagoort, Marli Huijer, Ernst van den Hemel, Manuel Klappe, Nils van Beek, and others. Participating organizations: SKOR (Foundation Art and Public Space), Lectoraat kunst in de publieke ruimte van de Gerrit Rietveld Academie en AKV/ St. Joost Master Fine Art
