International workshops

International workshops aim to share knowledge and experience between artists of different backgrounds.

Sometimes these workshops are connected to a residency program, sometimes they are organised incidentally. Special attention is paid to the collaboration between the participating artists.

Workshops usually last no longer than a few weeks. In some cases only artists from a specific region may attend.

Interactivos?'09: Call for Projects and Papers

Open call for the submission of projects and theoretical works to be presented and developed within the context of the international workshop-seminar Interactivos?'09: Garage Science. The socialization of technology and the accessibility of information available on the Web make it increasingly easy for anyone to have the possibility of building a home laboratory. Garage science is nothing new but home laboratories are connected now more than ever before. Interactivos?'09 aims to explore these practices, where art, science and technology meet. The participants are invited to turn medialab into a garage laboratory where low-cost, accessible materials are used to develop objects and installations that combine software, hardware and biology.
