Tampere Film Festival
The XXXIX Tampere International Short Film Festival will take place March 4-8, 2009. Tampere Film Festival is an independent short film festival with an international, LAB1O and national competition. The competitions are open and free for all who want to submit a film for the preview. Admitted are all films and videos of all genres not exceeding a length of 30 minutes.

Its All True - International Documentary Film Festival is devoted exclusively to the culture of documentary in South America and was created to promote documentary production and to increase reflections on the genre. The festival is now accepting submissions for its 14th edition.

Sguardi Altrove International Women's Film Festival
Sguardi Altrove Film Festival's mission is the research and promotion of films by women. The festival's aim is to encourage a reflection on topics relevant to women, articulated in their specific cultural, political and social context. The theme for the 16th edition is: The Digital Revolution and New Cultures. The festival is now accepting submissions for the various competitive and non competitive sections. Competitive sections are open only to women.

Undercovered Festival of International, Interdisciplinary Collaborations
Hidden and naked. Protected and endangered. Forgotten and targeted. The duality of undercovered is inescapable - the concealed to the unveiled, the censored to the recognized. For UNDERCOVERED, CESTA invites artists in all disciplines to collaborate in creating works implicating this duality through their choices of artistic content, process, or discipline. All final festival collaboration groups must be cross-national, interdisciplinary, collaborative and must contain work created exclusively for UNDERCOVERED.- When: August 2009

London Palestine Film Festival 2009
Run by the The Palestine Film Foundation (PFF), the London Palestine Film Festival showcases dozens of videos and films dealing with the subject of Palestine each year. The PFF is now inviting submissions from filmmakers and distributors. The Festival embraces a wide variety of genres and encourages filmmakers of all nationalities to participate in the festival.

Media City
Media City is an international festival of experimental film and video art presented annually since 1994. The festival is a co-presentation of Artcite Inc. (Windsor's artist-run centre for the contemporary arts) and House of Toast (Windsor's film and video collective). Each year Media City screens approximately fifty new films and videos in all gauges and formats in its international competition programs.

Dancing on The Edge
Dancing on The Edge Festival is looking for contemporary dance and theatre performances with the following requirements: the groups/artists must be from the Middle Eastern region (not including the Maghreb and Turkey); the piece itself must be of high artistic quality; the piece must reflect political/social issues of the region; dance pieces with live music are preferred.
