The Adi Prize for Jewish Expression in Art and Design
The Adi Prize is a biennial international competition in the visual arts and design on a theme related to Jewish thought and tradition. This competition is open to artists, including students, from a wide variety of fields in the visual arts, including painting, sculpture, prints, drawings, photography, video, installation art, computer art and design. The theme of the fourth edition is Rupture and Repair.
- An exhibition with the finalists' artworks will be held in Israel in 2010.
- Monetary awards: up to 9800 euro

MAXXIduepercento
MAXXI2percento is an international call for young artists for the design of two works of art for MAXXI, the new National Museum of 21st Century Art in Rome, which will be inaugurated in 2009. The total prize money available for the competition is 1,130,000.00 Euro.

WRO 09 Competition
The International Media Art Biennale WRO 09 is organized by WRO Center for Media Art Foundation and will take place in Wroclaw, Poland, in May 2009. The competition is open to any work created using electronic media techniques, exploring innovative forms of artistic communication. Works qualifying for the competition will be judged by an international jury during public screenings at the Biennale.

Graphisme Dans la Rue International Poster Competition
Graphisme dans la rue (Graphics in the Streets) is calling for submissions from all professional graphic artists, who are invited to create large-format posters addressing the theme of the city". The winners will have their images edited in silkscreen and posted on billboards throughout the city of Fontenay-sous-Bois. Only new and original authors works are eligible.
- Prize: 1500 euros and 20 examples of their silkscreened image.

SondAr-te Composition Competition
In order to encourage the composition of chamber music with electronics, Miso Music Portugal and the SondAr-te Electric Ensemble are organising, the 2nd SondAr-te Composition Competition 2009 - Chamber Music with Electronics. Applications are invited for the following 5 instruments: flute, clarinet in Bb, violin, cello, piano with tape or with live-electronics mandatory.
