Traveling to USA to perform, exhibit or for a residence?

Do you know what kind of visa you need when travelling to the USA as an artist? What is the difference between a showcase and a paid for performance? How long does this process take? How much does it cost? These are only few from the many questions artists and cultural workers face when travelling to the USA.

For the last two years, with the support of the U.S. National Endowment for the Arts, nonprofit organization Tamizdat, founded by the lawyer and artist mobility expert Matthew Covey from CoweyLaw,  has been conducting a study of the U.S. artist visa process. The product of that research is now available as a draft white paper on artist mobility to the United States. Tamizdat's white paper is currently being circulated to organizations that have shown interest in the project and will be offered to the European Commission. During his visitor's talk on Wednesday June 21st Matthew Covey will give an update on the latest changes and visa procedures. If you want to join, be fast, only few spots available!
