Description
Università delle Idee is a research centre where creative ideas come to life and are promoted. It aims at achieving an interaction between the arts and the other humanities, scientific and social disciplines. Consequently, UNIDEE offers each course participant a unique experience not be found in any other academic or university program. Activities are, in fact, based on the application and use of imagination in the chosen profession, and they all aim at a responsible social transformation.
Technical Information
Conference room for meetings and seminars, a digital editing suite, auditorium. Computers are equipped with Open Office and have the capability to edit video and digital photos.
Paid by host
The overall estimated cost for each resident is 10,000 euros. Each grant covers 8400 euro. The remaining part have to be paid by the resident. The fee covers: seminars during the residency, the organization of workshops, visits, lecturers, and technical support, participation in Cittadellarte activities, board and lodging while at the Foundation.
Paid by artist
Quotes for participation are adjusted in accordance with the diverse economies of each country (from 200 to 1600 euro)
Location
The city of Biella has 50,000 inhabitants and is situated at the base of the foothills of the alps in the province of the same name with a population of around 200,000. It is know for its beautiful landscape as well as the important role in the history of the Italian textile industry.

Application Criteria
UNIDEE in Residence is an international program open to artists, professionals, students and graduates of various university faculties from any country in the world.
