Description
SVA is an art and design school in New York City offering summer art residencies through its continuing education program. The visual art residency programs include Sculpture, Installation and New Media Art; Printmaking and Book Arts; Painting and Mixed Media; Public Art and Photography. Now in its third decade, this internationally renowned program offers emerging and mid-career artists an opportunity to spend the summer developing ideas and focusing on their artistic direction. Participants are immersed in the creative community of New York City, with the guidance of a distinguished faculty.
Technical Information
Affordable housing is available, as are opportunities to display work.
Studio Information
Each participant has exclusive use of a studio (approximately 10 x 12), throughout the program. Located in SVAs Chelsea building, the studios offer privacy, while supporting an environment that encourages experimentation and the development of new ideas and directions, within a community of ambitious, hard-working artists.
Paid by artist
$1,875 per session / $3,500 for both sessions
