Description

The residency in The House of Foreign Writers and Translators is avalaible to foreign writers living abroad. There is no obligation to speak French. The goal of the residency is to provide time and space to write, study or translate. However, during their stay (up to eight weeks), the writer may be asked, without any obligation, to give guests lectures or to meet the press.

The residents will be selected by a jury of profesionals so called Conseil littéraire upon literary basis.

Accommodation Information

The House of Foreign Writers and Translators welcomes one writer per residence in a large apartment located on the Loire estuary, on the tenth floor. The apartment has two bedrooms, an office, an equipped kitchen, a large living room, a bathroom. It is equipped with a Wifi connection (bring your computer).

Location

Saint Nazaire is a middle-size town located in the south of Brittany, on the Loire River estuary. It's only two and a half hours away from Paris by high-speed train. The nearest airport is Nantes Atlantique.
