DE-CONSTRUKT [projekts]
DE-CONSTRUKT develops projects with national and international artists that support the cross-pollination of ideas and experimentation among culturally diverse artists and audiences. Artists have the opportunity to produce new works individually or collaboratively, with a focus on experimentation and the encouragement to form new networks. Their interest is in the process rather than the final outcomes.
DE-CONSTRUKT provides artists with a place to live, work and engage with other artists and the local community of Red Hook, Brooklyn. The loft is equipped with a photography darkroom, wet sink, modern kitchen, and lots of natural light. It also includes accessible on-street parking, access to a large studio for public events and fully furnished live/work studios.

All participants must work within the community of Red Hook. They will assist with each resident on how to make contact with the local community and will publicize their work in the residency newsletter, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and their web site.
The working facilities include an art book library, a fully equipped photography darkroom, and a wet sink. A large event/studio space to hold an exhibition, artist talk or some public event. The studio is also available for working on projects and is perfect for rehearsals, video and photography shoots.
They offer two private fully-furnished bedrooms available. One bedroom with its own private studio, with a shared bathroom, kitchen and event/shared studio.
Fully equipped with hand tools, lighting, high-speed wifi, and a library of artist books a reference materials. Residents have access to a projector and speakers if needed. Access to the on-site private photography darkroom available 24 hours by request. Large industrial wet sink.
