Unesco Aschberg Residencies 

Every year the Unesco Culture and Promotion Fund offers a unique bursary programme for writers, musicians and visual artists. Many host organisations all over the world are announcing special residency calls with different deadlines and conditions: check out yourself!

Description

The artists residency programmes aims to bring together artists from all the countries and disciplines in mid or advanced career stages for a period of one to six months. The programme aims to support residents in their creative explorations, investigations and professional growth within an environment of communication and exchange. They also provide short-term studio rentals.
Camac and Fondation Ténot offer each year a 2 month residency bursary to one visual artist, one writer and one musician or composer in order to create new career prospects for artists.

Technical Information

Assistants, Computers, Dark room, Digital Video Editing, Sculpture facilities. A fully equipment ceramic studio is close to the centre and a paper studio is currently under study. Reference library.

Paid by host

Camac is connected to the Unesco-Aschberg program. Every year one bursary of 2 month residency is given to one visual artist and one writer.
The Ténot Foundation bursary includes return ticket, board and lodging (private bedroom with bathroom, individual studio)
Outside of these framework, the artist will need to find additional funding to cover some residency costs.

Location

Camac is located in the scenic village of Marnay-sur-Seine within the region of Champagne - Ardenne, a dynamic community on the banks of the river Seine. Camac occupies a 16th century abbey and two other buildings within an enclosed garden.

Application Criteria

The decision of the jury is motivated by the quality of the project, its adequacy to Camac's philosophy and environment, as well as by the applicant's past achievements.
